Ingredients
- 1 Cup rolled oats - 1 (cup)
- 0.5 Cup unsweetened applesauce - 1/2 (cup)
- 1.5 Cup unsweetened soy milk - 1 1/2 (cups)
- 1 Count ripe banana - 1 (medium), Peel into the bowl and mash until mostly smooth.
- 0.5 Teaspoon ground cinnamon - 1/2 (teaspoon)
- 0.5 Teaspoon vanilla extract - 1/2 (teaspoon)
- 0.13 Teaspoon fine salt - 1/8 (teaspoon)
Instructions
Mash banana and add ingredients
1. Peel the banana into the bowl and *mash with a fork* until mostly smooth, then add *rolled oats, applesauce, soy milk, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt*.
Stir the oat mixture
2. Stir until the oats are *fully moistened* and the banana is *evenly mixed in*.
Microwave until creamy
3. Microwave uncovered on high for *2 minutes 30 seconds*, then carefully stir and check that the oats look *creamy and thickened*.
Rest and cool before serving
4. Let the oats stand for *1 minute* so they can finish thickening and cool to a *kid-safe warm temperature* before serving.
