Terms of Service

Last updated: May 18, 2026

These terms are a plain-English agreement between you and PlumTally. They explain the basic rules for using the service and the risks you remain responsible for when cooking, shopping, and using third-party services.

1. Acceptance and use

These Terms of Service govern your use of PlumTally. By accessing or using PlumTally, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

PlumTally is a free cooking, recipe browsing, menu planning, grocery list, and shopping-support service. You may use it only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes unless we agree otherwise in writing.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

2. Accounts

You may need an account to use some features. You are responsible for providing accurate account information and keeping your login credentials secure.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Acceptable use

Do not use the service for unlawful, harmful, abusive, fraudulent, or misleading activity.

Do not interfere with the service, attempt to bypass security controls, scrape or harvest data without permission, upload malicious code, impersonate others, or use the service in a way that could harm other users or PlumTally.

We may suspend, limit, or terminate access if we believe these terms are being violated, the service is being misused, or continued access could create risk for PlumTally or others.

4. PlumTally content and intellectual property

PlumTally, including its software, design, branding, logos, text, images, data organization, and other service content, is owned by PlumTally or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

We give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended personal use. These terms do not transfer ownership of PlumTally or its content to you.

5. Your content and feedback

You are responsible for any content, preferences, notes, recipes, lists, or other information you provide through the service.

You keep ownership of content you provide, but you allow PlumTally to store, process, display, and use it as needed to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the service.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, you allow PlumTally to use them without restriction, attribution, or compensation.

6. Privacy

Your use of the service may involve account information, preferences, shopping activity, saved recipes, analytics events, and other data needed to operate and improve PlumTally.

Privacy practices may be described in separate privacy notices or policies. If a separate Privacy Policy is posted, it is incorporated into these terms by reference.

7. Third-party services and shopping information

PlumTally may show grocery prices, product matches, store availability, checkout links, delivery options, OAuth login providers, or other information from third parties.

Third-party services are controlled by those providers, not PlumTally. Their terms, prices, fees, substitutions, availability, delivery estimates, return policies, and privacy practices apply to your use of their services.

Prices, store availability, product matches, nutrition details, dietary labels, and other shopping information may be estimated, incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. You should review all information before buying or relying on it.

8. Food, allergy, cooking, and recipe risks

PlumTally does not guarantee that any recipe, ingredient list, menu, dietary label, allergen label, product match, substitution, or shopping suggestion is good, safe, accurate, complete, healthy, allergen-free, nut-free, dairy-free, gluten-free, or appropriate for you or anyone else.

We do not guarantee that any recipe will taste good, work as written, meet your expectations, or produce any particular result.

Cooking, preparing, storing, serving, and eating food involve real risks, including cuts, burns, fires, allergic reactions, cross-contamination, undercooked food, food poisoning, foodborne illness, choking, and other injuries or illness. You choose whether and how to cook, serve, or eat anything, and you do so at your own risk.

You are responsible for checking ingredients, labels, allergens, substitutions, expiration dates, storage instructions, cooking temperatures, doneness, food handling practices, and whether a recipe is safe for your household or guests.

PlumTally is not medical, nutrition, allergy, food-safety, or professional advice. If you have allergies, dietary restrictions, medical needs, or food safety concerns, use your own judgment and consult a qualified professional where appropriate.

9. No warranties

The service is provided as is and as available. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and security.

We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, accurate, or available at any particular time.

Some laws do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of the above may not apply to you.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, PlumTally and its operators will not be liable for personal injury, cooking injuries, burns, cuts, fires, allergic reactions, food poisoning, foodborne illness, choking, property damage, indirect damages, incidental damages, special damages, consequential damages, exemplary damages, punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, or losses related to recipes, cooking, food preparation, grocery shopping, third-party services, or use of or inability to use the service.

Some laws do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

11. Changes to the service and terms

We may change, pause, remove, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated terms.

12. Contact

If you have questions about these terms, contact the PlumTally team through the contact method provided in the app or website.
