- 2 Cup romaine lettuce - 2 (cups), washed and dried
- 1 Each ripe avocado - 1 (medium avocado), Halved, pitted, and scooped into a small bowl before mashing with seasonings.
- 1 Each tomato - 1 (medium tomato), Medium tomato, sliced for sandwich layering.
- 2 Tablespoon mayonnaise - 2 (tablespoons)
- 1 Teaspoon lemon juice - 1 (teaspoon)
- 0.13 Teaspoon fine salt - 1/8 (teaspoon)
- 0.13 Teaspoon ground black pepper - 1/8 (teaspoon)
Instructions
Prepare the vegetables and avocado
1. *Wash and dry* the romaine lettuce, *slice* the tomato, and *halve, pit, and scoop* the avocado into a small bowl.
Mash the avocado
2. Add the lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to the avocado, then *mash with a fork* until *creamy but slightly chunky*.
Spread the bread
3. *Spread mayonnaise* evenly over one side of each bread slice, then *spread the mashed avocado* over 2 of the slices.
Layer the sandwich
4. Layer the avocado-covered bread with *crisp romaine lettuce* and *juicy tomato slices*.
Finish and cut
